Welcome!

When thinking of games the first that usually comes to mind is fun. Games help us get away from the stress of everyday life and enjoy ourselves. However, there is more to games than what meets the eye. During our childhood the games we play help us prepare for our future. Games help to make us smarter, and improve our critical thinking, reasoning, language and information processing. Different games have different affects on our brains. Sometimes people create made-up games in their minds and get so into them that they go crazy. Others can play games with themselves to convince their mind what they want to believe or to help them get through a tough situation. Games have always been a major part of our lives, and they have a great impact on us. There are multiple types of games in our society; video games, mind games, board games, sports, the games we encounter throughout life etc. My main focus is the affect of games on children.

Play is fun, but at the same time vitally important in a child's life.
